When Carla (Paula Kalenberg) runs away from home to study fashion in Lyon, her belongings and money are stolen and she must work at a construction site to earn enough to pursue her dream. Complications arise when she meets the orphan Lucie (Marie-Luise Schramm) and later finds herself pregnant. Desperate for Carla to stay, Lucie hatches a plan that will take their relationship in unexpected directions.
