I Hate New Year’s is a charming holiday lesbian romcom that follows rising pop star Layne Price, who heads back to Nashville to find inspiration after a creative block stalls her music career. Determined to escape the glitz of L.A. and avoid the holiday altogether, Layne reconnects with her best friend Cassie, who secretly harbors deeper feelings. As the countdown to midnight approaches, Layne embarks on a quest for a “new spark”—only to realize that what she’s been searching for might have been beside her all along. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Nashville’s music scene and packed with catchy original songs, heartfelt moments, and festive romance, I Hate New Year’s is a joyful story about facing the past, taking chances, and finding love where you least expect it.
